Description
Bank Bottom is a weaver's cottage from the early to mid 19th century, constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a pitched stone slate roof and coped gables. The building features four stone brackets on the south side and two ashlar stacks. It has two storeys and a basement.
On the south elevation, the ground floor includes an entrance with a stone surround and a tie-stone to one side, along with a three-light stone mullioned window. The first floor has a five-light stone mullioned window. The north elevation also has an entrance with stone surrounds on the ground floor, a four-light stone mullioned window, and a four-light stone mullioned window on the first floor, with a six-light stone mullioned window on the second floor. The west gable features a single-storey lean-to extension with a slate roof.
