Description
Nos. 3 and 4 Manor Road is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is built from coursed rubble and features quoins. The stone slate roof has gable stacks and moulded gable copings on cut kneelers. The building has three storeys and was originally rectangular in shape, but it now includes a late 18th-century two-storey wing and a later single-storey wing facing the road.
The central doorway has a moulded surround and a deep lintel. There is one four-light window on each side of the doorway, along with a simpler entrance to the left. These are all positioned under a drip mould that rises over the central doorway like a hood. On the first and second floors, there are three three-light windows, each with hood moulds. All the windows are double chamfered and rendered.
