Description
Nos. 6 and 7 Thomason Road is a farmhouse, likely built around 1700, which has been altered and is now divided into two dwellings. The building is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble resting on a low plinth, featuring large quoins and a stone slate roof with gable chimneys. It has a two-bay plan with a rear extension and stands two storeys high. A continuous drip course runs along the first floor.
There are two doorways slightly left of center; the left doorway has a modern glazed porch, while the other has a plain surround. To the left, there is one altered window on each floor, with the upper window in an old opening that has been lengthened downwards. To the right, there are two windows on each floor: at the right end, there is a recessed window with two round-headed lights, which was probably originally a fire window, and above this on the first floor is a square window with a chamfered surround. The other two windows, both with two square lights, feature a chamfered mullion, with the lower window being recessed.
The left return wall has three blocked round-headed lights, two at ground floor and one above, along with an attic window that has two lights and a simple hoodmould. The interior has been altered.
