Description
Nos. 8 and 9 is a farmhouse that has been converted into two houses, with a datestone indicating it was built in 1694. The building features squared coursed lias stone and a thatched roof. It has a three-unit, through passage plan and stands two storeys high with an attic. The front has a three-window arrangement of two-light casements that include leaded lights and wood lintels. There are two entrances, each with plank and braced doors set under wood lintels. Adjacent to one entrance are two slit windows with stone lintels. A stone string course runs along the building. The roof is gabled, with ashlar gable parapets and kneelers. The left gable displays two two-light stone mullions, one of which is blocked, along with the datestone ECA/1694. The rear of the building is similar and features a datestone marked ECA/1697. There is a 20th-century extension to the right.
