Description
No. 23 Bradford Road is a rag warehouse built around 1860. The building features a combination of ashlar and coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, topped with slate roofs. The east front is three storeys high and consists of three bays. The ground floor is rusticated ashlar with a central round-headed doorway that has a keystone and a pair of panel doors with an overlight. On either side of the doorway are single round-headed windows with keystones, which are now boarded up. Above this, there is a moulded ashlar band followed by three plain sash windows in moulded surrounds, each with flat hoods; the central window is topped by a segmental pediment. Further up, there is a cill band and three pairs of round-headed twin sash windows in moulded surrounds, topped by a moulded ashlar cornice. The west front of the building rises four storeys and features four glazing bar windows on each floor.
