Description
This barn, located approximately 4 metres to the south-east of Raw Pickle, is likely from the mid-18th century, with some rebuilding and a new roof added in 1830. It is constructed from coursed squared stone and features a stone slate roof. The barn consists of two bays and has long quoins. On the left side, there is a cart-entry with long quoins and a possibly rebuilt segmental arch. To the right of this entry, there is a chamfered quoined doorway, with a 19th-century window to the left and a three-light flat-faced mullion window above. At the right end, there is a similar doorway at a lower level. The barn has plain gutter brackets. The rear side features an opposing cart-entry and chamfered slit vents to the left. Inside, there are two strutted queen-post roof trusses, with one tie-beam marked 'Rebuilt 1830', along with some reused older purlins.
