Description
The eastern section of the Bus Station facade, originally the facade of the former Syon Congregational Church, dates from the early 19th century and was refurbished in 1988. It features ashlar stonework and consists of three bays, with a central recessed entrance flanked by four baseless Greek Doric columns that support an entablature and a plain frieze. Above the entrance is a single rectangular attic window. On either side of the central bay are slightly projecting pavilions, each with a large window surrounded by moulded ashlar and topped with flat hoods. The attic above these pavilions contains single Diodeian windows. The side facades each have a single plain round-headed window in their respective bays. The remainder of the building, constructed in 1988, is not of special interest.
