Description
The central section of the Bus Station facade is the former facade of Syon School, built in 1846 and relocated in 1988. It features ashlar stonework and a stone slate roof, and is a single storey in height. The design includes an order of Doric pilasters and three round-arched windows on either side of a central arched porch, with a niche at each end. The porch supports a low belvedere tower, which has a lower stage flanked by consoles and displays the words 'Syon Schools' and '1846'. The roof is pyramidal in shape. The rest of the building was constructed in 1988 and is not of special interest.
