Description
17 and 19 Town Gate are a pair of probably 18th-century, two-storey stone cottages with a stone roof. Each cottage features a simple five-light window, which has been partly altered. No 19 has irregular two and three-light windows on its gabled east return facing Town Gate. Together with Nos 15 to 19 (odd), 31, 37, Shoulder of Mutton, and Priestley Hall, as well as Nos 8 and 9 Tetley Lane, these buildings form a cohesive village group.
