Description

Hillway House is a traditional stone house located on Tetley Lane in Northowram, likely dating from the 17th century and altered over time. The building is two storeys high and features a stone roof. The front facing the garden has been altered and is partly rendered, but the gabled west cross wing retains long mullioned windows. There is a two-storeyed gabled porch at the angle of the house, which includes an arched doorway and an original window. The other windows on the house are modern. The plain front facing the road has a rendered lean-to, while the west cross wing maintains its original windows along with an inserted door.
