Description

Nos 8 and 9 on Tetley Lane is a 2-storeyed traditional stone house dated 1687, although this date is no longer visible. The building has been much altered, with the front now faced with pebble-dash and the windows mutilated. It features eaves that lead to a hipped stone roof. The east side of the house has small windows, which have been partly altered, while the rear includes gabled crosswings and a lower center with intact mullioned windows. The center and west wing are rendered. This building is part of a village group that includes Nos 15 to 19 (odd), the Shoulder of Mutton Public House, and Priestly Hall, as well as the Towngate in Northowram.
