Description
Part of a former house front, dated 1654, is located in the car park of the Allan Fold Public House on Burnley Road. This structure consists of the ground storey only and appears to have been re-erected. It is constructed from stone in a traditional style. Notable features include an arched doorway flanked by five-light mullioned and transomed windows, all under a continuous dripmoulding with carved labels at each end. In the center, there is a date stone with an inscription that is said to read IWAW.
