Description

SOWERBY BRIDGE DELFS LANE SE 02 SW (west side), Cottonstone 2/57 Barn attached to Whitestone Clough on south-west side GV II Barn. Dated 1856. Coursed squared stone, stone slate roof. 3 bays. Central round-arched cart-entry in board door, tie stones, imposts and raised keystone. Board doors to either end have plain stone surrounds with tie stones, left doorway with narrow window on its right. Over cart-entry, round-arched light with dated sill flanked by blind lunettes. Outshut added to left gable. Rear: quoins to right end, and a threshing door, blocked and with window. Interior: queen post roof trusses; reused purlins.
