Description
SOWERBY BRIDGE TOWN GATE SE 0226 & SE 0326 (north side), Midgley 4/267 Cottage in grounds of, and approx 20 metres to north-west of, No 86 GV II Cottage. Late C18-early C19. Thinly-coursed squared stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, single cell. Quoins on right. Openings have plain stone surrounds, windows with flat-faced mullions. Board door on left of 2-light window with ori- ginal fixed light and sash, each with glazing bars; 4-light window above. Plain gutter brackets. Corniced stack to left end. Right return has door and oculus. In state of disrepair at time of resurvey.
