Description

SOWERBY BRIDGE TOWN GATE SE 0226 & SE 0326 (north side), Midgley 4/263 Stocks to south-west of No 61 - II Stocks. Probably C18-early C19. Stone and wood. Short, round-topped piers with grooves to inner faces hold stone lower rail and renewed timber upper rail with four leg holes. Other grooves in tops of piers.
