Description
This cottage, located in Clunbury, dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and has undergone minor alterations. It is constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble and features a slate roof. The building has a two-cell plan and is one storey high with an attic. The entrance consists of a boarded door situated under a gabled timber porch at the center, with a 19th-century casement window to the right. Above this window, there is a 19th-century gabled eaves dormer that includes leaded lights. A massive stepped external end stack is located to the right. At the rear, there is a 20th-century full-length lean-to, which is not considered to have special architectural interest. This cottage is noted for being a largely unaltered example of a squatter's cottage.
