Description
Egypt Farmhouse, likely built in the mid-18th century, is accompanied by an attached barn from the early 19th century. The building is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof, with quoins at the corners. It stands two storeys tall and consists of two cells with a double depth. The well-dressed gable stacks are prominent.
On the west side, there are chamfered mullion windows with three and six lights, along with square sash windows on the first floor. The east front showcases a five-light chamfered mullioned window on either side of the doorway, which has composite jambs and a chamfered surround. The first floor includes four-light windows, one of which has been altered to feature arched central lights. The barn has a full cart entry, likely modified, and includes a long aisle or outshut at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
