Description
This is a row of shops located at 2-12 St George's Square in Hebden Bridge, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and consists of six bays, each with a doorway framed by tie-stone jambs. The original four-light flat faced mullioned windows have been altered to create shop windows, except for the fifth bay. The first floor has five-light flat faced mullioned windows, all of which are missing two mullions. The rear of the building has a similar arrangement of windows. The structure includes quoins and has six stacks along the ridge. This listing is primarily for its group value.
