Description

Nos. 1 and 2 Sowood Fold form a pair of cottages dating to the late 18th century. They are constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. Each cottage is two storeys high. The ground floor features a doorway with monolithic jambs, and a three-light flat-faced mullioned window with an overlapping lintel and sill. Above the door is a single-light window similarly detailed.
