Description

This barn, located 10 meters northwest of Acre Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century and features a new roof structure added in the mid-20th century. It is built from large hammer-dressed stone and has a stone slate roof. The barn has a single aisle, with a cart entry that includes a monolithic lintel, composite jambs, and a chamfered surround. There is a similar mistal doorway to the right at a lower level. The gables are coped and have kneelers. Nearby, there is a 19th-century stable that incorporates a reused datestone inscribed with the year 1672 from an earlier building, suggesting that the barn may have been built around the same time. This barn is included for its group value only.
