Description

Nos. 702 and 704 are probably a late 18th or early 19th century building that was altered to form a pair of small houses around 1840-50. The building is constructed of sandstone that resembles brick, with a stone slate roof and bracketed eaves corniced chimneys. The front of the building is at a right angle to the road. The first floor has a single-light and two-light square mullioned windows. The ground floor features three canted stone-framed bay windows with moulded cornices. Pilastered corniced doorways lead to the entrances. The rear of the building has a tall, round-headed stairwell window.
