Description
Haigh Hall is a modest-sized, 2-storey house built in 1710, constructed from coursed gritstone. It features a symmetrical three-bay front and a projecting coped gable porch built in a traditional style. The roof is made of stone slate and has a central ridge stack with a moulded cornice, along with coped gable ends that have shaped thin kneelers. The windows include two-light chamfered mullion splayed reveal windows, which were originally four lights, and an unaltered five-light window on the ground floor to the right. There are also 19th-century small-paned sash windows. A weathered string course runs between the storeys, stepping up over the doorway and enclosing a panel inscribed with "S" over "W H" and the date below, framed with cable moulding. Inside the porch, the main doorway has an arched opening with imposts and a keystone. Above this, in the centre of the first floor, is a small circular window set in a plain raised surround.
