Description

Nos. 29 and 31 Stockhill Fold date from around 1786 or the early 19th century, representing a reconstruction of an earlier range built in the late 17th or early 18th century, aligning with Nos. 25 and 27. The building is two storeys high, constructed of coursed gritstone with regular sandstone "brick", and features flush quoins on the right-hand side. It has a stone slate roof and corniced chimneys. Each property has a 19th-century sash window within an earlier squared surround above the doorway. To the right is a three-light square mullion window, with the centre light raised in a modified Venetian style, and blind side lights. All windows have squared surrounds. The doorways are plainer squared jambs.
