Description
Henderson Place is an early 19th century row of cottages located on Holroyd Hill in Wibsey. Number 25 is dated 1822, while number 27 is an addition from around 1850 to 1860. The cottages are built from sandstone "brick" and feature a first-floor sill band on the earlier part of the row. The eaves are supported by block brackets beneath a stone slate roof, and there is a large prominent kneeler at the saddlestone. Number 23 retains three-light square mullion windows, although the left window has been altered, and there is an intact three-light square mullion window at the rear. The doorways have squared jambs, and number 25 has a dated lintel. Number 27 has a two-window front with flat bracketed eaves above its slate roof. The row is included for its contribution to the street scene and its group value.
