Description

This is an early 19th century cottage row, comprising numbers 18 to 26 on the north-west side of Wibsey Bank. The cottages are built of sandstone, appearing like brick, with a stone slate roof and corniced chimneys. Bracketed eaves run along the roofline. Each cottage has a three-light mullion window within a squared stone surround, though some have been replaced with later casement windows. Doorways have squared jambs. A date plaque between numbers 22 and 24 is inscribed with "S over G M and J 1824", indicating the year of construction.
