Description
Nos 3 and 5 Carr Bottom Fold is a building that dates from the mid-18th century or possibly earlier and was originally a farmhouse. It is two storeys high and constructed from gritstone, with some irregular blocks of ironstone and dressed quoins. The roof is made of stone slate, featuring gable ends with shaped cut kneelers and prominently splayed capping that is carved as saddlestone. No 3 has modern windows and a doorway, while No 5 retains tripartite square mullioned windows that date from around 1800.
