Description

The former Hare and Hounds Public House is a circa 1840 two-storey sandstone building, constructed with a double pile and featuring identical fronts to the north and south. It has a stone slate roof with saddlestones and corniced chimneys. The symmetrical front has three bays. The windows are sash windows set in shallow reveals with thin ashlar lintels. The central first-floor window is round-headed with a keystone. The doorways have squared jambs and contain doors consisting of six moulded panels. The building is included on the list for its group value.
