Description

This is a row of sandstone cottages located on the west side of Lower Wyke Lane in Lower Wyke. Numbers 3 to 5 date from around 1800 and feature original two-light square mullion windows. Numbers 1 and 2, and 6 to 8 were added in the mid-19th century, with the later cottages exhibiting sash windows and pedimented doorways. The roofs are covered with stone slates, and a corniced chimney is present. The group of cottages is included on the list for group value.
