Description

The Barn and adjoining stable, located on Sal Royd Road in Low Moor, date from around 1800 to 1820. This well-proportioned barn is constructed from sandstone that resembles brick and features flush quoins. The roof is made of stone slate and has bracketed eaves. At the first floor level, there are three shallow lunettes set in squared surrounds with keystones. The ground floor includes four windows with squared surrounds and a large barn portal that has a massive ashlar lintel and a retaining arch above. The low stable wing has been partly altered and is constructed with red brick.
