Description

The Chapel House Inn is a late 17th-century house, likely re-cased from an earlier timber-framed structure, with alterations dating to around 1800. It is constructed of coursed gritstone. A weathered stone string course runs across the ground floor. The roof is covered in stone slates and has large shaped kneelers to the coped gable ends. The building has large quoins and three windows on the first floor, each with two lights and square mullions, originally chamfered. The ground floor also has three windows, each with three lights and square mullions. A gabled stone porch features a saddlestone and kneelers. The interior retains large, chamfered ceiling beams and an exposed wall post on the ground floor.
