Description

This milestone, located approximately 10 metres to the east of Number 7 on Scarlet Heights in Queensbury, dates from the early to mid 19th century. It is made of stone and features a square post with a domed top, set at an angle into the wall. The milestone is inscribed on two faces, indicating the distances to Bradford and Halifax, which are 4 miles and 3¾ miles, respectively.
