Description
This is a row of six, two-storey cottages built around 1800 to 1830, located on the north-west side of Great Horton Road. The cottages are constructed of sandstone, designed to resemble brickwork. They are arranged in a stepped pattern, with pairs of cottages set slightly forward. The roofs are covered in stone slate and have bracketed eaves. The windows are simple, lacking mullions, and have flat stone hoods above the doorways. Later alterations, including shop fronts, have been made, but the original character of this early 19th century row of buildings has largely been preserved. The building is included on the list for its contribution to the wider streetscape.
