Description

This is a row of six estate cottages, numbered 3 to 11 Main Street, built around 1820 to 1830. The cottages were constructed using sandstone that appears like brick, with horizontal bands of stone below both floors. They have stone slate roofs, decorative brackets under the eaves, and corniced chimneys. Each cottage has two windows on the first floor, containing wooden casements. One 2-light square mullion window is on the ground floor of each. The doorways have simple, rectangular stone jambs.
