Description
No 64 on Little Horton Lane is a villa pair built around 1840-1850, designed as a single structure with an equal return to Melbourne Place. It is two storeys high and constructed of dressed sandstone that resembles brick. The building features a hipped slate roof with moulded eaves and flanking chimneys. The front is symmetrical with three bays, showcasing plain sash windows set in eared architrave surrounds with consoles supporting the sills, and panelled aprons beneath the first-floor windows. The entrance has a panelled door frame supported by pilasters adorned with rosettes at the necks. The return front at No 1 Melbourne Place also has three bays but lacks architraves and features a plain pilastered doorway. There is a short service wing set back from the main façade.
