Description
This is a row of six cottages, numbers 1 to 11, dating from the late 18th century and early 19th century. They are built of sandstone, appearing as brick, and have stone slate roofs with corniced chimneys. Originally, each cottage had a single window of three square mullioned lights set in squared surrounds; these have been replaced with casements. Cottages 9 to 11 are taller and date from the early 19th century, featuring two-light square mullioned windows in squared surrounds. Each cottage has a squared jamb doorway. The buildings are listed for their contribution to the surrounding street scene and their group value.
