Description

This is a row of six cottages, numbered 5 to 10, dating from the early 19th century and subject to later alterations. The cottages are constructed of random rubble red sandstone, with numbers 7 and 10 having a rendered finish. They have slate roofs and brick chimney stacks. The cottages are two storeys high, and most have wooden casement windows with glazing bars, with pent roofs over the ground floor windows. Number 8 has sliding sash windows instead. Door hoods are supported by wooden brackets. The cottages are included in the list for their contribution to the wider group value of buildings in the area.
