Description
Nos 55 to 63 on North Road in Wibsey are a row of cottages dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. No 55 is a low house constructed from fairly large, irregularly coursed sandstone bricks, featuring large quoins. It has a stone slate roof with two small stone-framed dormers. This house includes two-light square mullion windows and a squared jamb doorway. Nos 57 to 63 are two-storey cottages built in a similar style, although not all were constructed at the same time. These cottages also have stone slate roofs that extend over rear outshots and feature two-light square mullion windows with single lights above the doorways. This row is included for its interest as a collection of cottages.
