Description
16 and 17 Chapel Fold are a pair of dwellings built in the early 19th century, related in style to numbers 7 to 10 on the same terrace. The houses are constructed from large, irregularly coursed gritstone "bricks" and have stone slate roofs. Originally, the windows featured chamfered mullions, though these have now been removed, leaving splayed reveals and drip moulds. The doorways are plain. The western end of the buildings is two storeys high, with two-light windows that were originally three- or four-light mullioned windows.
