Description

No. 27 Brownroyd Hill Road is an early 19th-century house that may have been converted from a late 18th-century barn. The building features irregular coursed sandstone "bricks" with dressed flush quoins and has a stone slate roof. There are three windows set in flush stone frames with fixed panes, along with a plain doorway. If it was originally constructed as a low house, it represents an early example of this type.
