Description

Nos 169, 171, and 173 on High Street are a late 18th century or early 19th century alteration of a 17th century building, now converted into tenements. The structure is two stories tall and constructed from irregularly coursed sandstone and gritstone, featuring large quoins on No 173. It has a stone slate roof and includes single and two-light square mullion windows set in squared surrounds. Garage doors have been inserted at the ground floor, but a window opening with a splayed reveal remains, which was formerly fitted with chamfered mullions. This building is included for its group value.
