Description

A row of cottages dating from around 1800 to 1830, numbered 72 to 82 (even), Highgate, Heaton. The cottages are built of sandstone, designed to resemble brickwork, with No. 82 distinguished by flush quoins and sawn kneelers. They feature three-light square mullioned windows, some of which have been altered. The roofs are covered with stone slates. The row is listed for its group value, as a surviving portion of the original village.
