House and cottage. House C17, altered in late C18 or early C19, cottage late C18 or early C19. Squared coursed rubble to rear. Rendered to front. Stone slate roof. Two storeys, 3 bays to house, single bay to cottage. Two later doorways to centre of No 8. To right is a 4-light window with 2 mullions removed and chamfered surround. To extreme right is a fire-window with chamfered surround. To 1st-floor, two 4-light flat-faced mullioned windows, each with 2 mullions removed, and a recent window to right. The cottage has an entrance and one 2-light flat-faced mullion window to each floor. Gable copings to left. Rendered stacks with string. To rear No 8 has a 5-light and a 2-light flat-faced mullion window to each floor, with some blocked lights and some mullions removed. Central part-blocked 1st-floor taking-in door. The cottage has a 3-light flat-faced mullion window to each floor and an entrance. Within the through-passage between Nos 8 and 7 is an early blocked entrance to No 8 with wooden jambs. Interior: of No 8 dates mainly to the later alterations.
