Description
Nos 151 and 152 on West Hill are a pair of attached cottages dating from the early to late 18th century. They are constructed of rendered rubblestone and feature a stone slate roof at the front, which has a coped verge on the left side and three ashlar stacks. The cottages are two storeys high and have five windows in total.
No 152 has a door on the left with a chamfered case and two 3-light cyma mullioned windows to the right, along with a string course above. The first floor of No 152 also has two 3-light cyma mullioned windows. No 151 features a central 6-fielded panelled door, topped with a pediment supported by carved consoles and surrounded by a moulded architrave. On either side of this door are two 2-pane sash windows, which have a central beaded mullion and a moulded cornice above. The first floor of No 151 has a central 16-pane sash window in a shouldered architrave, flanked by 12-pane sash windows in plain architraves. The rear of the cottages has 20th-century windows and dormers, with concrete slates on the roof. The interior is not accessible.
