Description
The Church of St Barnabas, built in 1864 by the Bradford Church Building Committee, showcases a simplified early 17th century French Gothic style. It features two gabled aisles, a flush nave, and a lower semi-circular apsidal chancel. At the east end of the south aisle, there is a plain, unbuttressed tower topped with a short broached spire. Inside, the church has a plain interior with a five-bay arcade, an alabaster reredos, and stained glass windows made by Powell of Leeds. The tower is a notable feature of the townscape in Frizinghall.
