Description

Morton Hall is an early 19th-century villa, later converted into flats around 1985. Constructed of ashlar, the main block is two storeys high with three first-floor windows, accompanied by single-storey wings extending to each side and a rear wing. A central porch features paired Roman Doric columns, a frieze incorporating triglyphs, and a modillioned cornice. Bay windows are positioned on either side of the porch. The central window above the porch projects slightly. A modillioned eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. The side wings are designed in a matching style. Chimneys are topped with modillioned cornices. The rear of the building has a tall, round-arched window illuminating the staircase.
