Description
A pair of cottages, built as a single house around 1800 to 1820, are located on West Scholes Lane in Yews Green. The cottages are constructed of sandstone "brick" with flush quoins, and have a stone slate roof with saddlestones and prominent kneelers. The front facade presents three bays, featuring three-light square mullion windows flanking a central two-light window. Number 51 has undergone some alterations, including the addition of a modern gabled joint porch. Number 52 features a wing with a two-light square mullion window and a similar window in the west gable end. Group value is evident through the building's contribution to the area's character.
