  1. A modest spinning mill built early to mid C19. The mill is set back in yard with a large ashlar portal dated 1865 on road line, similar in details to portals at the nearby former Bank Top Mills (Beacon Road). Rustication stuck into arch which is semi-circular and rises from an impost string; keystone with carved bearded heads; projecting moulded cornice and blocking course with crested date panel. The mill proper is of 3-storeys sandstone "brick". Close set range of 16 windows to each floor, coupled voussoir arched, windows at east end with dividing pier inscribed 1851 and 1862. Square section tapered chimney stack built into north-east corner.
