Description

The Hare and Hounds Public House is a building that appears to date from the late 18th century, although it may have earlier origins due to its walls being made of irregularly coursed sandstone. It features a stone slate roof with flanking chimneys and a bracketed wooden eaves gutter. The façade includes two and three-light square mullion windows set in squared frames, with the addition of mid-19th century sash windows. The doorways have squared jambs. The rear elevation facing Beacon Road also has similar irregularly spaced square mullion windows.
