Description

The building is a mill located immediately northwest of Longstock Mill House. It dates from the mid-18th century and was altered in 1893. The structure is made of brick, featuring decorative blue brick elements. It is a two-storey and attic, five-bay mill with mill streams under both end bays. The right side of the building contains a 1893 roller mill that originally had four storeys but now has two.

The older mill has a two-storey central opening with one planked door above another. The other bays feature 20th-century two-light windows in their original openings, all of which have segmented heads with a course of blue headers, except for the bottom left opening, which is filled with blue headers. The mill has dentilled eaves and a large weatherboarded gable above the central three bays, which was originally for a hoist but now has a window. There are sloping buttresses on the left end and 20th-century tie plates along the attic floor level.

On the right side, there is a two-storey, three-bay 19th-century building with a garage door to the left and large segmental-headed iron windows. Inside the old mill, the breast shot wheel has been removed, but much of the rest of the structure remains intact. Behind the 19th-century mill, there is an Armfield turbine.
