Description

Nos 1, 2, and 3 Warm Lane comprise an early 17th-century farmhouse, with Nos 2 and 3 representing a subsequent rebuild or extension from the early 19th century. No 1 is a two-story building constructed of coursed gritstone with a stone slate roof featuring saddlestones, the rear one being finialed. The gable end faces the road. It has a former four-light chamfered mullion window on the first floor, now reduced to two lights, with a drip mould, and three-light windows on the ground floor, alongside a single window to the right. All windows have splayed reveals and a common drip mould to the ground floor. The east side features a similar first-floor window and a four-centred arched moulded jamb doorway with a date plaque inscribed "T I M 1624" beneath a drip mould. A splayed reveal window to the left is also present, under a drip mould, with the mullion set away from the face of the wall. Nos 2 and 3 are two-story structures built of sandstone with a brick appearance, exhibiting stone slate roofs and corniced chimneys. They have two-light square mullion windows and plain, squared jamb doorways.
